"Baby Doll" by UniKaren Designs

Fabric:  Bubblegum pink (may appear lighter in photos), and white cotton.

Baby or toddler style dress has very short bodice and inset sleeves.  Bodice is lined cotton, with satin ruffles finished with white lace on both edges, and attached with pink ruffled ribbon trim.  Pink organdy flowers  and long streamers of ribbon embellish the bodice seam where ruffles meet.

Bottom ruffle of dress is made with a single piece of embroidered scalloped white eyelet, sometimes referred to as Broderie Anglaise.

Peter Pan collar is trimmed in double ruffled pink & white lace, and neck edge is satin.

Cotton sleeves have classic UniKaren satin overlay, trimmed with double ruffled pink & white lace, and a pink bow at the point.  Wide white elastic finishes the hems. Elasticized for upper arm comfort.  Hand pleated at the shoulder for a professional finish.

Bloomers are made of the pink satin and have rows of gathered lace across the rear. Elasticized in the waist and leg openings for a sure fit.  Wide white elastic finishes the legs.

Bonnet - now there's a treat.  New pattern ... takes a while to make, but well worth it.  Fully gathered crown has back shaped like classic baby bonnet, with two extra ruffles along the front band.  The back one is a large white plain ruffle with white flat lace trim matching the ruffles on the bodice. The bonnet sits very forward on the face, as shown on the mannequin head.  Pink ruffled ribbon trim across the main band matches the trim on the bodice ruffles. Two little organdy ribbon flowers with dangling pink ribbon streamers fall from the top/side of the headband.
