About UniKaren Designs: Purchasing a UniKaren Design means you are getting an ORIGINAL outfit. Since I was a teenager, I have been designing and sewing square dance outfits... since the mid '70s. To this day I still have hundreds of design ideas and I look forward to seeing them come to fruition, and hope that you will continue to enjoy what I create.

Privacy Policy: All items are discretely packaged. Tissue is folded into the outfit to prevent wrinkling as much as possible. Item is then wrapped in plastic before box packaging. A mailing label is placed on the inside parcel in the event the outside parcel is damaged. For items going outside of the country, please inform me as to what you want written on the declaration. I respect your need for discretion.

Fabric: Medium weight dusty rose satin, combined with embellished sheer organza, and lightweight shiny white satin. Description: Skirt is made from rose satin with the bottom tier made of same. It is attached with a wide white ruffled lace. The next ruffle is white satin, and the next two ruffles are made from the printed organza. Each ruffle is attached with ruffled white lace, finished with a narrow hem lace along the top edge, and 1" wide flat lace along the hem. The bodice is made from the shiny white satin, covered in a layer of the embroidered organza. The feature of the bodice is the flounce ruffle along the neckline, and falls differently than a regular straight-edge ruffle. These ruffles are cut in a specific shape to give this extraordinary effect. It is finished with the same lace trim along the top and bottom edges as the skirt ruffles, and is attached with the same ruffled white lace. There is a wide band of rose satin across the front bodice, folded down in the center, and a double bow with a rose knot is pinned, with tails made from the organza, trimmed in white lace. The sleeves are white satin covered in the organza. Hand pleated at the shoulder for a professional finish. Elasticized at the arm opening for a comfortable fit. A pretty rose bow adorned with an organza rose and petals is glued to the knot. All seams are serged. Rose satin sashes stem from the side seams to create a pretty bow over the center back seam. Bloomers are made from white satin, with wide white lace hems. The sides show off a white satin ribbon bow. Elastic waist and leg openings for comfort. Label and elastic loop at center back for you to hang the hanger with the dress. A draw-string tote is made to accompany this outfit, white satin with an overlay of organza. It is lined with the rose satin on the inside. The bottom is a lined circle of the rose satin, and it ties up with long strips of rose satin, decorated with pony beads on the edge. It has a 12" satin strap to carry it with. A coordinating accessory is a band and large elaborate organza bow with narrow edge finish to attach to a wide-brimmed hat. Don a pair of white gloves, some high heel shoes, hold a parasol, and you're ready to be the belle of the ball at the Gone With The Wind summer party. Bonus: hand-crafted wrist corsage made with layers of white satin on a band of wide lace. Elasticised.
