About UniKaren Designs: Purchasing a UniKaren Design means you are getting an ORIGINAL outfit. Since I was a teenager, I have been designing and sewing square dance outfits... it's been 40 years now. To this day I still have hundreds of design ideas and I look forward to seeing them come to fruition, and hope that you will continue to enjoy what I create.

Privacy Policy: All items are discretely packaged. Tissue is folded into the outfit to prevent wrinkling as much as possible. Item is then wrapped in plastic before box packaging. A mailing label is placed on the inside parcel in the event the outside parcel is damaged. For items going outside of the country, please inform me as to what you want written on the declaration. I respect your need for discretion.

"Blue Velvet" by UniKaren Designs PHOTOS ARE COPYRIGHT TO UNIKARENDESIGNS. If you wish to use any photos of me modeling my dresses on your website, you MUST obtain permission. Fabric: Royal blue velvet combined with white eyelet cotton. The bodice, sleeves and skirt of the dress are made of smooth velvet. There is no lace trim on the velvet anywhere. Edges are serged and stitched into place. The skirt is 8 gores with a flat edge finish on the hem. No ruffles. Peter Pan collar is made with velvet, no lace trim. Neckline is finished traditional neck facing. Feature of this dress is the pinafore. Beautiful white eyelet is created into a bib that covers the center front bodice. Ruffles are made with flat lace trim along the edges. The ruffles run up either side of the bib and over the shoulders to the center back and are attached with a narrow ruffled white eyelet trim. The apron has the same ruffle trim and is attached at the waist. Sashes stem from the side seams and create a perky bow over the center back. The top of the back bodice inside has ribbon attached. This ribbon is long enough that it can be brought together to insert a significant locking mechanism. When the dress is zipped, these loops are not visible. The wearer can wear the lock in the loops hanging outside of the back of the dress for all to see, or it can be kept on the inside of the dress as a secret. Two pairs of bloomers, one we are calling bloomers which have an 12" inseam, and one which we are calling panties, which have virtually no inseam. Two rows of the fabric ruffles lay across the backs of the panties, and three row adorn the back of others. Both are finished with a wide elastic band at the waist for a comfortable and assured fit. Two white satin ribbon bows adorn the waist seam where the apron meets the bib. As an added bonus, two hair bows on 3" barrettes complete the outfit.
