We want to let you know about an important update to your Canada Post Solutions for Small Business™ account. New prices for your parcel services and surcharges will be introduced in September.

The adjusted pricing reflects the increasing costs of processing and delivery, and the requirement to serve a growing number of addresses.

We are working hard to be the best delivery partner possible – the partner that can elevate your business and that you and your customers can count on every day. We are committed to ensuring our pricing remains competitive and consistent with past adjustments, and that you continue to receive the best possible customer experience.

PARCEL SERVICES PRICE CHANGES

Changes to our pricing take effect on Monday, September 11, 2023.

The price changes include:

·         A 3.4% increase in the weighted average price for business customers using domestic parcel services.

·         A 2.5% increase in the weighted average price for business customers using U.S. or International Parcel services.

SHIPPING OPTION AND SURCHARGE CHANGES

Shipping option rate and surcharge increases include:

·         Additional liability coverage will increase from $2.50 to $2.75.

·         Additional handling surcharges (for oversized and unpackaged items) will increase from $18 to $21.

PEAK SEASON SURCHARGE CHANGES

From October 30, 2023 to January 14, 2024, the following surcharges will change during our peak season:

·         The surcharge for oversized and unpackaged items will be adjusted from $21 to $30.

·         The surcharge for items that exceed Canada Post’s specifications for size and weight (out-of-spec) will be adjusted from $300 to $400.

We recognize that any rate adjustment will have an impact on the customers we proudly serve. We don’t take that lightly and we do our best to minimize the impact of price increases.
