About UniKaren Designs: Purchasing a UniKaren Design means you are getting an ORIGINAL outfit. Since I was a teenager, I have been designing and sewing square dance outfits... since the mid '70s. To this day I still have hundreds of design ideas and I look forward to seeing them come to fruition, and hope that you will continue to enjoy what I create.

Privacy Policy: All items are discretely packaged. Tissue is folded into the outfit to prevent wrinkling as much as possible. Item is then wrapped in plastic before box packaging. A mailing label is placed on the inside parcel in the event the outside parcel is damaged. For items going outside of the country, please inform me as to what you want written on the declaration. I respect your need for discretion.

"Playful French Maid" by UniKaren Designs PHOTOS ARE COPYRIGHT TO UNIKARENDESIGNS. If you wish to use any photos of me modeling my dresses on your website, you MUST obtain permission. Fabric: Medium-weight black satin, white 100% cotton eyelet, white nylon lace, baby accessories Three-piece outfit consists of a dress, apron and wrist cuff (bonus).. Bodice of the dress is black satin. An embroidered eyelet bib is sewn to the center front, with white eyelet ruffles going from front to back. The ruffles are finished with flat lace along the edges. Full pouffy sleeves are split, and finished with the eyelet fabric. At the bottom of the split is a ribbon bow, and in the center of the bow is a baby adornment. Elasticized for upper arm comfort, sleeves are pleated at the shoulders for a professional finish. White flat lace finishes the hems. Peter Pan collar is made from two layers of black satin, with ruffled white lace sandwiched between them. The neckline is finished with a bias strip of the satin. A grosgrain ribbon sits at the center front. Full 9-gored skirt is serged, and hand-pleated at the waist seam for a professional finish. Bottom tier and upper ruffle are made from the satin, finished with a narrow flat lace white trim along the edge, with a 2.25" white flat lace along the hem of the bottom tier, and a 1" flat lace along the hem of the upper ruffled. The upper ruffle sweeps up slightly at the side/front along 3 seams on each side of the skirt, and is embellished with a white grosgrain ribbon. From the center of the ribbon dangles a narrow white satin lace as a loop to show off a baby adornment. There are ABC blocks, and rocking horses, alternating colors. Skirt will fit over a 100-yard crinoline (not included). Center back locking zipper comes with two keys. I will not replace these if you lose them, sorry. When the slider of the zipper is at the top, use the key to lock it into place. Hook & eye closure on the inside. These locking zippers are custom made for me for my clients and come in 26" lengths. Apron is made from a layer of eyelet lined with white broadcloth. The waistband and ties are made from eyelet, and the apron is separate from the dress and can be removed for easy maintenance. The ruffles are made from eyelet as well, finished with a narrow white flat lace along the top edge, and a wider lace along the hem. Two black satin ribbons adorn the intersection of the ruffles with the waistband. As a bonus for the customer, I am including a wrist cuff made with white lace, with a pink ribbon bow over a lacey bow, with a baby bracelet as the feature. \		MEASUREMENTS REMEMBER THIS !! Chest: 59" Waist: up to 50" Bodice: 19" Skirt: 22" Length from shoulder to hem: 41" Across upper back: 22.5" Neck: 24" ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ You can always wear a dress that is too large, but you cannot wear one that is too small.
