Fabric: Light weight bridal satin, 100% cotton eyelet,
poly-cotton gingham prints
THIS is the Barbie fantasy dress you never knew you wanted! Created
in a traditional UniKaren "Swiss Miss" style with contrasting bodice
inset and lace-up front, this dress will take you to fantasy land as the
best dressed Barbie, complete with a drawstring tote for your keys and
lipstick, a matching choker and stuffed hair bow, and beautiful
rufflebutt bloomers in the event you need to bend over.
The skirt is made from a large pink gingham fabric, is a full circle and
will fit over a full crinoline, shown here on a 150-yard crystalline
petticoat (not included). The bottom tier is made with white
cotton eyelet. The next ruffle is made from lightweight bridal
pink satin and has a white lace along the top edge, and pink scalloped
lace along the hem. Above that we return to the large gingham to create
another ruffle with white lace edging, which sweeps up to offset left of
center. There sits a delightful large pink satin bow.
The bodice is made from the large gingham fabric, and is lined with
traditional white lining fabric. It features a very fitted form,
with four darts on the front to create a curvy outline around the bosom.
The contrasting bosom inset is made from eyelet fabric, with elastic
across the top. The measurement shows 44" when flat, and the +2
indicates you can easily add bosom without affecting the fit, to show
off as much cleavage as you desire.
The bottom center of the bodice has vertical specialty lace that allows
for inserting 'cording' to criss cross from the bottom to the top. The
'cording' is made from a long strip of the small print gingham, and
features white pony beads to tie off the ends.
Full pouffy sleeves are made from the pink satin, with a border of eyelet
along the bottom. Above the sleeve is an extra ruffle made from
the large gingham, trimmed in white lace. Elasticized for upper
arm comfort, pleated at the shoulder for a professional finish. A white
satin ribbon double bow sits at the side of the sleeve.
Pink satin sashes stem from the side seams so you can cinch the waist to your
comfort, creating a perky bow over the center back. Center back
zipper, hook & eye closure at the top.
Coordinating bloomers are made from satin fabric, featuring three rows of
white ruffled eyelet fabric across the backside for a classic UniKaren "rufflebutt"
effect. Pink scalloped lace finishes the hems to match the satin
ruffle of the dress. White satin ribbon bows adorn the sides.
A hair bow is attached to a barrette to complement this
ensemble. It is made with the smaller gingham print, and is stuffed with
polyester fiber fill for a 3D effect.
A matching choker make from small gingham print will bring beauty to your
neckline, with a lace finish, and perky bow at the center front.
And to complete this ensemble is a small drawstring tote made from the
small gingham print on the outside, and a quilted plastic on the inside.
Laces form the handles, with ball cord stops to create the cinch.
