Fabric: 100% cotton eyelet, poly-cotton gingham print, white medium weight bridal satin
Welcome to the fantasy world of Barbie! Here is a second Barbie dress inspired by the famous movie, using large pink and white gingham. The bodice features a white satin band going across the waist area, which becomes sashes at the side seams to create a feminine bow over the center back zipper.
The neckline features a pointed satin collar, and white ruffled lace below it across the entire chest area. You can see by the back view what the front collar looks like. There is a white satin bow in the center of the collar to tie in with the large bow on the skirt and the bow at the back.
The skirt is made from a large pink gingham fabric, is a full circle and will fit over a full crinoline, shown here on a 150-yard crystalline petticoat (not included). The bottom tier is made with same print. The next ruffle is made from white eyelet, with white lace along the top edge and hem. Above the white we return to the large gingham to create another ruffle with white lace edging, which sweeps up to offset right of center. There sits a delightful large white satin bow with tails reaching to the hem.
Full pouffy sleeves are made from cotton eyelet and feature a split sleeve at the shoulder to about half way down. The opening is finished with white satin. Elasticized for upper arm comfort, pleated at the shoulder for a professional finish. A white satin bow sits at the bottom of the split. Hems are trimmed with narrow white flat lace.
White satin sashes stem from the side seams so you can cinch the waist to your comfort, creating a perky bow over the center back. Center back zipper, hook & eye closure at the top.
