About UniKaren Designs: Purchasing a UniKaren Design means you are getting an ORIGINAL outfit. Since I was a teenager, I have been designing and sewing square dance outfits... it's been over 40 years now. To this day I still have hundreds of design ideas and I look forward to seeing them come to fruition, and hope that you will continue to enjoy what I create.

Privacy Policy: All items are discretely packaged. Tissue is folded into the outfit to prevent wrinkling as much as possible. Item is then wrapped in plastic before box packaging. A mailing label is placed on the inside parcel in the event the outside parcel is damaged. For items going outside of the country, please inform me as to what you want written on the declaration. I respect your need for discretion. If you don't specify, it will be labeled as a costume.

Fabric: Light weight bridal yellow satin and white satin, combined with poly-cotton yellow & white gingham, and 100% cotton eyelet. The full skirt is made from white satin. It is a full circle and will fit on a very full crinoline, shown here on an older 150-yard crystalline petti (not included). The bottom tier is made from white cotton eyelet, finished with a narrow flat white lace along the top edge, and a wider white flat lace along the hem. The overskirt is made from yellow and white gingham scallops, with the same fabric creating the ruffle, which is finished with narrow white lace trim along the top edge, and wide flat lace trim along the hem. It is attached with ruffled white lace. The skirts are sewn together as one unit, and are hand pleated at the waist for a professional even finish. The bodice is made from yellow satin, with an overlay along the bottom half made from the yellow gingham fabric. Two interfaced straps go from the front, over the shoulder to the back, and create the finish for a white eyelet ruffle, finished with white lace along the edge. Peter Pan collar is made from eyelet fabric, with the white satin on the bottom. White ruffled lace is sandwiched between the layers. The neckline is finished with a bias facing made from white satin. A yellow bow adorns the center of the collar. Sleeves are made especially for this outfit, with yellow satin as the base and two strips of gingham fabric set vertically, with white ruffled lace along each edge. They are hand pleated at the shoulder for an even and professional finish. Gingham stem from the side seams and tie into a lovely feminine bow over the center back. Center back zipper. Hook and eye closure at top center back. Bloomers will bring this outfit together, with their four rows of gingham ruffles, trimmed with white lace. The label and a small elastic loop are on the inside center back, so you can hang the bloomers with the dress. White satin bows adorn the side seams along the elastic. Elasticized at the waist and leg openings for comfort. If you have questions, just ask.
