About UniKaren Designs: Purchasing a UniKaren Design means you are getting an ORIGINAL outfit. Since I was a teenager, I have been designing and sewing square dance outfits... it's been 50 years now. To this day I still have hundreds of design ideas and I look forward to seeing them come to fruition, and hope that you will continue to enjoy what I create.

Privacy Policy: All items are discretely packaged. Tissue is folded into the outfit to prevent wrinkling as much as possible. Item is then wrapped in plastic before box packaging. A mailing label is placed on the inside parcel in the event the outside parcel is damaged. For items going outside of the country, please inform me as to what you want written on the declaration. I respect your need for discretion.

Fabric: Royal blue lightweight taffeta. Wide off-white lace has two scalloped edges and is used in many ways throughout the outfit. For the customer who says, "surprise me", for your viewing pleasure is an XL custom dress made from shiny royal blue taffeta, featuring wide off-white lace used in many ways. The full skirt fits over a very full petticoat, shown here on a 150-yard crystalline one (not included). The base of the skirt is made with two wide tiers, and the hem is finished with a trimmed version of the lace, finished with a narrow floral flat lace of the same color. The overskirt is a full skirt with a gathered bottom tier of its own, finished with the full width of the lace, which has a beautiful curved edge along both edges. Just above the attached lace is another layer of the lace, gathered to create a ruffle. These two skirts are sewn together to act as one, and then hand pleated to the waistband. The bodice features a deep square neckline, and the lace is cut to size and meticulously hand-pleated. The back features a deep V shape and the lace of course goes all the way around the entire neckline. Down the center front, there is a pretty entredeux lace (it features holes through which you could insert a ribbon, also called insertion lace), and on either side of it is the wide scalloped lace, trimmed to proportion. There are five royal blue buttons with dark rims hand-stitched in place. Full pouffy sleeves are made from the same taffeta, which means they will stand on their own. Down the center is a single strip of the entredeux lace. The hem of the sleeves is made by attaching the full width of the wide lace, and stitching it in place a short way up from where it is then attached to an elastic. Sleeves are hand pleated at the shoulder for a professional finish and the elastic openings allow for a comfortable fit. Taffeta sashes stem from the side seams and create a lovely perky bow over the center back. Center back zipper with tiny hook and eye closure at the top. Matching bloomers complete this ensemble. The wide off-white lace was machine gathered, enough to create two full rows across the center back. The hems are finished like the sleeves, with the wide lace stitched in place a short way up from the elastic. Bonus: A wristlet made from the wide lace, with a royal blue bow in the center. Full width of lace, 5", stretches from 7.5" to 12".		MEASUREMENTS Chest: 53.5" Waist: 52" Bodice: 20" Across the back between shoulders: 21" Skirt: 20" Bloomers Waist: 38-55" Leg opening: 22-34" Inseam including lace: 7" ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ REMEMBER THIS !!
