"Baby Shirley"

Fabric: White cotton fabric with red dots.
Dress was created to duplicate a Shirley Temple doll dress, in
a adult size.
Lined bodice is made short like a toddler dress.
Bodice is lined with a lightweight cotton, for durability and support.
It features a square neckline trimmed with two rows of narrow red satin
ribbon.
The skirt consists of 160" of fabric for the bottom longer layer, and the
same amount of fabric cut shorter for the upper layer. This makes
the skirt heavier than normal. The bottom edge of each of the skirt lengths is
finished with a 1" wide red lace.
Above the bottom hem is a wide ribbon, meticulously pinned and sewn into
place to create the effect of the four rows of trim when looking at the
entire outfit.
Skirt is hand pleated at the high waist seam for a professional and even
finish.
Along the bottom of the bodice is a red satin band featuring a bow across
the center. It is
pinned into place through the bow's center knot to help keep it in place,
along with a couple of extra pins to help secure it. I pin bows to
allow them to be removable for washing the garment without the bow.
Red satin sashes continue out of the side seams and create a
proportionately large bow at the center back with nice long tails.
Full pouffy sleeves are hand pleated at the shoulder for a professional
finish and elasticized at the upper arm for a comfortable fit.
