About UniKaren Designs: Purchasing a UniKaren Design means you are getting an ORIGINAL outfit. Since I was a teenager, I have been designing and sewing square dance outfits... it's been 33 years now. To this day I still have hundreds of design ideas and I look forward to seeing them come to fruition, and hope that you will continue to enjoy what I create.

Privacy Policy: All items are discretely packaged. Tissue is folded into the outfit to prevent wrinkling as much as possible. Item is then wrapped in plastic before box packaging. A mailing label is placed on the inside parcel in the event the outside parcel is damaged. For items going outside of the country, please inform me as to what you want written on the declaration. I respect your need for discretion.

Fabric: True red (not orangey as pics sometimes show), polyester shirting, machine washable & dryable The customer wants a frilly, ruffly feminine French Maid outfit with a removable apron and matching bloomers. Tada! Here it is! The bodice features a Tuxedo style with flat lace and ruffled lace up through the center, with large red buttons down the center. The stand-up collar has ruffled lace on it, and little loops at the back through which a locking mechanism can be inserted. The full sleeves have a ruffle attached with white ruffled lace. They are head pleated at the shoulder for a professional finish. White flat lace finishes the hems. A white satin ribbon bow draws attention to the center of the ruffle. The skirt is full enough to fit over a very full petti (not included), this one shown over a 100-yd crystalline white petticoat. It is has minimal pleats at the waist to keep it from being bulky at the waist. The bottom tier has wide 3" white scalloped floral lace, with narrow flat lace along the top edge. It is attached with a ruffled white lace trim. The ruffle sweeps up at each of the skirt seams, and features a white satin ribbon bow. The upper ruffle has 1" lace on the bottom and narrow lace along the top, and goes all the way around, sweeping up to the center back. Between the sweeps are yards and yards of more ruffles. The separate apron features the same ruffles as the bottom tier of the skirt, with a nice wide lace. The ruffle is attached with ruffled white lace. Sashes tie over the center back rufllebutt design. Bloomers finish off this outfit, with 12" inseams for an extra long leg. The back keeps in the theme of the Rufflebutt, with two rows of ruffles attached with white ruffled lace. They are elasticized in the waist and leg opening for a comfortable fit. White satin ribbon bows adorn the side seams of the legs.
